Happy Thanksgiving

Today is an ultra-special day.

Each year I have 365 days of Thanksgiving, but today is that one special day where we all get to pray a little longer, speak with our God, our Messiah, our spiritual entity and give thanks for the wonders of our lives.

Each & every day I pray and pass along my thanks for the incredible gift my anonymous donor gave to me. The person that saved my life as theirs ended. This single act has given me more hope and belief in the good in people than any other single event I’ve seen or been a part of in my life. While a heart transplant is not an easy undertaking, it seems so simple and minute at times when I think deeply about the “giving” that happened to make my new heart possible.

Somewhere, there is a family that will be sitting down for Thanksgiving today without a loved one. But that family needs to know that I do care, I do give thanks for that incredible gift and I honor your loved one with each passing day. May God bless you all!

I also give special thanks for my incredible family and friends. May God bless you all as well.

To me, in my heart, the picture below is what today truly is …….. IT’S GREAT TO BE ALIVE!!!

Thanks to my donor!

Thanks to my organ donor!!
