Civic Duty

It’s been a very hectic week here at My2ndHeartBeat World Headquarters. The holidays and traveling have taken their toll on my time. I’m doing well, but I am tired. I’ve been working on a variety of issues and planning some DIY home improvement projects. I was VERY nice to Home Depot the other day, LOL.

Anyway, I get my plans (and time) all figured out and then I get a nice little surprise in the mail. I received a summons of jury duty for mid January. It kind of messes with my plans for the month, but it is my duty, so I plan on going. I was on jury duty once MANY years ago and was chosen by the prosecutor but “challenged” by the defense attorney so I was sent home. I’m looking forward to the process again. The questionnaire that I received asked about disabilities and I responded that I had “limitations” due to my heart transplant. I wrote a short sentence about taking my anti-rejection meds on time and if there are people with an obvious signs of a cold (coughing, etc) I will wear a mask. I expect I’ll get a phone call by Tuesday.

Happy New Year to all and may you have a HEALTHY and HAPPY 2010 !!!!
