Tribute to a Friend

I try not to write about specific people I see when I volunteer as I don’t want to violate any HIPPA laws, or confidences.

But, today I feel the need to write a small tribute to a heart transplant friend that passed away recently. This was the first person I met on my own when I started to volunteer at my Transplant Center. I visited with this person weekly for almost an entire year. Most of that was while the person was waiting, and some after they were transplanted. This person had patience and inner strength that was BEYOND admirable. We made each other smile, even laugh many times as we talked about anything and everything under the sun. We talked about life ~ death and literally everything in between

Once again, I was reminded how short life is. And that we MUST enjoy each and every day to the fullest.

“K” ~ May you rest in peace, my friend. And, may God Bless your soul.

Rest in Peace, my friend!!
