My Life Defined by Music

Quote ~ Music always helps, no matter what you’re going through. So, if you flunk a big test, or you had a really bad breakup, or you just miss someone so bad, it hurts, then listen to my playlist. A hundred songs to save your life. And it should help. – Peyton Sawyer, “One Tree Hill”

As I have looked back over my life. Looked at the up and downs and the paths I’ve taken, I’ve often thought that there is probably a song or two that might apply to some of the major chapters or segments. Most lives could probably be looked at, as a poorly written “tragedy”. Yes, I have some very low “lows”, but I also have been very BLESSED in my life. I enjoy life, I love my family ….. and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I have most of these on my MP3 player, that I use at the gym and those times at home when I seek to tune out the world.

Just like laughter, music is a BIG part of my life.

Feel free to analyze me, if you wish. Or simply ask about a certain selection as there might be a story …. Or I simply liked that particular song. Comments are ALWAYS welcome!

As in the quote above, I probably could have found a 100 songs about my life, but the below are the top 50 to 60 that tell a lot of my story.

Great list – it’s neat that you took the time to actually make the list and categorize it to different times/phases of your life. And I love the pics – the last one is a beautiful picture of a happy grandpa and his granddaughter loving life in the cold snowy weather!!
