Old Parts, Worn Parts

Again, yesterday I encountered multiple people who thought a heart transplant cures everything that ails you. That you can leap tall building, stop a speeding train, run faster than a bullet ……….

As much as I wish that were true, it’s simply NOT the case. I usually try to explain it more like installing a new engine in an old car. If the tires were bald, the still are, if the muffler was noisy it still is and so forth.

BUT, that new engine will allow the old car to move down the highway of  life safely at the speed limit and continue to enjoy and be very thankful  the extended ride.

I’m almost getting an entire comedy act from this “old parts” question.

I like this little picture. Though the term “slightly” older is not factually true in my case.
