Stubborn or Driven?

After being away for 10 days and upon returning to “My2ndHeartBeat World Headquarters” this past week there was the usual list of things to get caught up on. Family stuff, bills, phone calls, emails, etc.

Since we were gone right when the weather was finally perfect to initiate some wonderful plant growth, we came back to an incredible amount of weeds. Incredible in volume and size. It seemed like they were everywhere.

As I was mindlessly pulling weeds yesterday I was thinking how stubborn these pesky things can be. Or, was it that they are driven to live, quite like myself? I know I have always been a driven person. I set goals, I plan my attack and then attack my plan. But, I can also be stubborn about some things as well, at least according to my wife, and I’m not going to disagree.

I think if you have the drive, the will to survive and are given a decent chance by God, by your doctors you can survive some incredible odds. I see heart transplant patients each week, and one thing we have in common, seems to be “drive”.

Regardless of how you view it …. stubborn or driven …… I’m NOT giving up.
