Quote ~ A hug is a handshake from the heart. ~Author Unknown
Recently, on the forums on TransplantBuddies.com, there was a post initiated by a fellow heart transplant recipient, “RocketHeart”, where he told about “heart to heart” hugs. I was really taken by his post and investigated, since I really enjoy giving and receiving hugs.
Below is a version I found on the internet. (To help make this easier for clumsy people like me, lean a bit to the right when going in for a hug.)
This is the perfect hug for heart transplant recipients!!
“Heart to Heart”
When:
To greet all of those that you love and hold dear to your heart. One arm high and the other low is a sign of respect and equality. When your chests touch, you are letting them into your most vulnerable personal space.
How:
Walk towards them with your left arm high, to wrap across their shoulders and right arm low to wrap around their waist.
As you hug, your chests touch Heart to Heart.
It’s a chest & torso hug or snuggle.
