Crazy Days

The past few days at My2ndHeartBeat World Headquarters have been …. in a word …. CRAZY!!

The speed of a four-year old and a two-year old together seems to be more like the square root of the sum of both numbers. The activity, the talking and screeching, the running amuck ……… has turned this house of solitude into a place of blissful exhaustion.

It’s been months since I’ve slept as soundly as I have the past few nights.

We’ve had an ad hoc game of hide and seek. My grand-daughter decided to hide one of her shoes the other morning. After over an hour of searching every where we could think of, we went and bought her another pair of shoes (flashing lights included). Low and behold, the original shoe was later found, in of all places, in the pie safe in the kitchen.

We’ve been to the zoo, a movie, toy stores, restaurants, and last night they attended my monthly heart transplant dinner. Non-stop, action, fun, laughs and of course a few tears.

So the week has gone.

BUT ……….. I am enjoying every minute of it. Through my hear transplant I was given a second chance at life to enjoy some times like these and watch these two little people grow up. I have God and my anonymous donor and donor family to thank for this awesome gift!!

Life is good ~ this is what it’s all about!!!

This is what it's all about!!
