Heroes, Day 22, DonateLife Month

4/22/2011 ~

“Being a hero is about the shortest lived profession on earth.”

The life of my hero, my organ donor, was short-lived. There is no debate that my donor died too early in life, but he or she is NEVER forgotten. I think about, pray for. and give daily thanks for my donor and his or her most unselfish act. We don’t get to pick when we might take our last breath, but by being an organ donor we do get a chance to be a hero to others if that last breath is taken too early in life.

Being an organ donor, being a hero is the most unselfish act we can make in our lifetimes!

My Heart is Grateful Today (and EVERY Day) to My HERO!!
