My love for all nurses has never been hidden. I’ve professed it before on this blog.
Four years ago my heart transplant journey took me to 2 hospital facilities, where I coded countless times and these Angels of Mercy were there, saving my life each and every time. I know the true and humbling, feeling one has when he “wakes up” in a room full of WIDE EYED nurses, one with the AED paddles in her hand asking if I’m OK.
Since the beginning of that journey I have been cared for by absolutely wonderful nurses. I will admit that a time or two I may have been upset with one or two of them, until I saw they were truly wanting to help me and not make me miserable.
My transplant coordinators , the nurses at my Primary Care doctor’s office, and other offices I visit less often are SIMPLY the best!! When I am volunteering each week, I see the floor nurses taking care of the patients with compassion.
Nurses are ROCK STARS!!!!! May God always BLESS them!
The week of May 6th through May 12th is National Nurses Week.
This week, PLEASE take the time to THANK a nurse for ALL that they do. (I LOVE you guys!!)
“Today is the best day of my life and thank you for being a part of it”
