February is American Heart Month

Tomorrow starts a very important and special month for me. Being that I am a heart transplant recipient, it might be easy to see why it is such a momentous month. Heart disease runs rampant in my family. Many of my close friends have heart issues, or have had heart transplants, so this is OUR month!

On Friday, we go RED for the ladies. I wrote a blog last year about this important event, which you can see here ~ Go Red For Women .

Did you know that 600,000 people in the U.S. die every year from heart disease? Know your risks, especially your genetic predisposition to heart disease.

Be informed, and perhaps the life you save will be your own!!
