According to a number of things on Facebook, there is a “Pay It Forward Day” event tomorrow, 2/22/2012.
Giving thanks and sharing life means a LOT to me. It became extra special to me after my heart transplant. I really need to practice paying it forward more often, so I have been very cognizant of this upcoming event the past few days.
Without “outing” anyone, there was a situation that happened a few days ago that I witnessed that I easily could have ignored and forgotten about. But, I truly thought about this situation and today, I invested a few hours of time, some gas & miles on the car and some cash and went and located a certain person that was on the wrong end of the witnessed “situation” and I surprised said person by “paying it forward”. This person was slightly embarrassed, but totally WORTHY. For me, it was worth 10 times more than my investment.
Tomorrow, I plan on watching very carefully for opportunities to “pay it forward”.
“If you have much, give your wealth; if you have little, give your heart.”
