The 3 C’s of Life

The 3 C’s of life: Choices, Chances, and Changes. You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change. — Unknown

I came across this interesting quote and it truly made me think. This is true in some circumstances but not all. I know that I did not make an actual choice to change my life so dramatically. God apparently had other plans for me, slammed the brakes on my old life, had me do about twenty-one 360’s, rollover a number of times, hit a couple of walls and end up flat on my back with a new heart beating in my chest all courtesy of a heart transplant. (Forever grateful to my wonderful donor)

It was after this “little” event when I did make a CHOICE …… It didn’t take a lot to sort this out after I came to terms with my many brushes with death. I decided I had two choices ……. quit …. give up and die ………. or I could fight until the bitter end, not giving up … NEVER giving up.

It all came down to attitude and this quote sealed the deal for me. This covers any and all of the 3 C’s above. I still “try” to live to this daily. Oh, there are days when it would be easy to give up ……. but I’m stubborn and I refuse. I made a CHOICE to see the world with my heart.

And, I hope you do too!!

Attitude – Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude can cause a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst ……. a spark that creates extraordinary results.
