Carry On

“By perseverance, the snail reached the ark.” – C H. Spurgeon

Perseverance is defined as – “steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.”

We’ve all experienced despair, discouragement, hopelessness, misery, pain, sorrow. At times we lose faith. We want to give up ….. to quit!

I know I have ….. but I was raised to never quit, to never give up, nor give in. Battle onward with your last ounce of strength. Keeping your faith strong along the way.

Recently, I’ve had a few, non-heart related torments in my life that have caused more than a few sleepless nights. My friends have been there to help me through these rough times, and I know life will be better in the long run.

If you have those days where you would like to give up …. DON’T ….. call, talk to your family, your friends …… lean on others and never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Just CARRY ON!!

We MUST have and maintain our perseverance.

A song that has become my “theme song” through these rougher times, is called, “Carry On”. It’s by FUN. who also performed the song “What Do I Stand For”, that I wrote about HERE! (Click link to read)

Here is the official FUN. “Carry On” video ….

My favorite lyric is this ~

Cause we are
We are shining stars
We are invincible
We are who we are
On our darkest day
When we’re miles away
So we’ll come
We will find our way home

If you’re lost and alone
Or you’re sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on

Carry on, carry on

Stay Calm
