Pray Till it Hurts!! (An Anniversary)

“Some people touch our lives only briefly … while other’s leave a lasting impression and are never forgotten.”

During my life I have been touched by a number of fantastic people. Some were there to help me through the tough times and others to show me true faith, to inspire me. Some were there for a moment, some not. I am grateful for ALL people that have touched my life in a positive way.

Five years ago today, a person that has truly touched me, touched my life and has become an incredible friend …. was blessed by God and blessed by a beautiful hero and received a life saving heart transplant.

I was 628 days post transplant and was truly touched by the events as they unfolded. I document many thoughts on this blog, but what I rarely ever share is that I also hand write a private journal. I want to share my thoughts of that journal from five years ago today, 1/28/2009.

Even as I read this writing 5 years later, I cried. Tears of happiness. It was an emotional few days.

Below, you’ll understand, where the title to this post comes from ….. “Pray till it hurts”!!! (I never forgot that phrase)

Happy 5th anniversary “H”, thank you for always being you!! You are an amazing person!! I still “pray till it hurts” for you and your beautiful HERO, “R”!! Love you!!

God Bless you ALWAYS!
