Focus … or Lack Thereof

“Sometimes in tragedy we find our life’s purpose — the eye sheds a tear to find its focus.”

~ Robert Brault

For most of my adult life I have had laser like focus ….. it has helped me during my entire life. If I had a task to do, I was on it and worked it to completion.  From beginning to end, and always attempting to beat due dates. After my heart transplant, I did shed more than a few tears and it helped me to focus on recovery ….. on family ….. on friends.

But, during this long brutal winter that we are just starting to emerge from, I seem to have lost a LOT of focus. Staying on task seems to be very difficult. Maybe it was from endless days of snow, of very frigid temperatures, of feeling trapped inside way too long.

Or, maybe it’s from my medications …… my anti-rejection drugs …… or too many electronic devices …… or my age ……. or ……….. fill-in the blank?

I’m hoping that the change of the season brings back some of my FOCUS!

“Take your attention off the forms and focus on what’s inside.”

I really enjoy reading your blogs. Your writing style is easy to grasp and it certainly appears you have not lost your focus. Perhaps you are staying indoors too much? Can you get some more sunlight? Light is very important. Just sharing a random thought that might help.

Perhaps if I would stop trying to stifle my tears, I could focus better! Just kidding. I have pretty good focus when it’s important, it’s my comprehension that struggles.
