#Goodness – Starting Today

“Keep your eyes and ears and heart wide open. Look for the GOODNESS all around you!”

The definition of “GOODNESS” –

1. The state or quality of being good.

2. moral excellence; virtue.

3. kindly feeling; kindness; generosity.

4. excellence of quality: goodness of workmanship.

5. the best part of anything; essence; strength.

6. a euphemism for God: Thank goodness!

The antonym of “GOODNESS” – Badness, Evil

I was thinking about the news the other day …… and if you dwell on the news you might think the world is going straight to hell. There is a lot of evil, a lot of hatred, there is a lot of negativity.

I have decided that (as long as I remember), every Monday for the rest of the year is going to be a day of “GOOD” & “GOODNESS” on this blog ….. a quote, a story, a thought of GOODNESS ….. I want to create a buffer against all of the negativity that seems to bombard us daily. We need MORE positivity in our lives!

My life was saved because of the goodness of my donor and/or donor family. Goodness abounds even on the worst of days that we have. But, we have to look for it …. it is there.

There are so many wonderful people doing kind things every day. There is a lot of positivity in our world. We are literally surrounded with goodness, if we take the time to open our hearts, our eyes and our ears to recognize it.
