Gift – Memory

“A treasured memory is the lasting gift of time well spent.”

~ Tim Fargo

April is DonateLife Month, and that is very near and dear to my heart. I was given the gift of extra life and some great extra memories of time well spent with family and friends. All thanks to God and Benny Keith, because he said YES to organ donation.

Please register to be an organ donor.

I thank God everyday for my angel donor for my pancreas and kidney. I am almost 8 years out and feeling great. I have seen my younger daughter graduate from college, get married, and watch my grandson grow up into a handsome, sweet 10 year old. He was just 3 when I had my transplant, up on my bed, playing and cheering me up in the hospital. I was so thankful that my hospital allowed him to visit me. He was my best medicine! Life is so precious after dialysis! I had been a type 1 diabetic for 50 years, when I got my call !
