12 Years Since God Pressed My Reset Button

“When we grow up we take ourselves way too seriously, and sometimes we become a heart attack waiting to happen.”

~ Tom Asacker

Twelve years ago today, at about 9:30am, I had a massive heart attack. That single event changed me forever. It was the first day of God leading me down a new and amazing path. The next 28 days would include over a hundred very close brushes with death. Amazing new people would enter my life, including a gentleman named Benny Keith that would ultimately save my life, by loaning me his heart. It might seem odd to so many, but I am THANKFUL for that heart attack and the journey that followed ….. everything turned out just the way God scripted it. And I am eternally grateful for this newer path that I’ve been on the past twelve years …… and I have been truly blessed and I have happily embraced this new life.

“Most everything works again if you unplug it for a while. Including you.”
