Odd Day

“Time flows in a strange way on odd days.”

~ Unknown

Yesterday was an odd day. It was the first Wednesday in over 11 years where I was healthy and available and did NOT go and volunteer at my transplant center. I’m sure it will feel even more strange as time goes by.

My transplant center made the difficult, but correct call in stopping, until further notice, the volunteer program in the midst of this COVID-19 crisis.

I truly enjoy volunteering and helping to support the people that are on heart transplant journey. But, keeping the patients safe is the number one goal. And keeping volunteers out of harm’s way is crucially as important.

This COVID-19 crisis is a bit bothersome, but I’m going to pray, use common sense,  and follow the CDC guidelines. I was already washing my hands 100 times a day ….. now it’s 200 times a day. Will also do a little social distancing and I need to look for some new series to binge watch on Netflix and Hulu. Got any recommendations?

Be safe!
