My first “Bump in the road.”

There would be others during my first year post transplant, but this was the first one.

Woke up in the early AM and noticed a large lump in my groin. I dutifully told my nurse and that started me on an all day adventure of multiple ultrasounds and specialists. The doctors finally diagnosed the lump as a “DVT”, aka a blood clot. I was started on an IV of Heparin. And also ordered to stay in bed all day.

There is “chatter” that I “may be” released in a “few” days.
